Logo & Character Branding and Usage Guidelines

Non-commercial Usage
→No application necessary, but usage must follow the guidelines.
Use in Commercial Products or Promotion 
→Application is required.

If you would like to use our our branding in your product or promotional materials (including but not limited to signage, flyers/brochures, website and videos) you must submit an application.

◆Permission for Commercial Use is granted for periods of one year only. If you wish to continue using the previously approved branding without change, an automatic one year extension will be granted, but if you wish to make changes to how the logo or branding is used, a request must be submitted at least one month prior to the proposed change.

◆Those who have received Permission for Commercial Use must submit a sample of the completed product or other material upon its completion. If it is not possible to submit a sample, a photograph may be submitted instead.

◆Permission for Commercial Use is granted on a case-by-case basis. Even if you have already received permission, you must reapply for any new usage not included in the original application.

◆If the manner of usage changes in anyway following application, an Application for Amendment must be submitted. Please contact the Itoigawa Geopark Council Secretariat for more information.

【Prohibited Usage】

1. Changing the aspect ratio or shape of the logo or characters unless expressly approved by the Secretariat.
2. Cropping any part of the logo or characters.
3. Displaying the logo or characters in any colors other than those provided.
4. Using only the face or other part of the mascot characters.
5. Three-dimensional representations whose form is not clearly recognizable as the mascot character.
6. Any usage which implies an endorsement from the Geopark or its Mascot Characters unless expressly approved by the Secretariat.
7. Any usage which promotes or endorses any political party, politician/candidate, or religion.
8. Any usage in obscene or illegal materials or by illegal or antisocial organizations.
9. Any other usage which contradicts the mission or values of Itoigawa Geopark.

Note: Violators of the above guidelines will be requested to cease and may be subject to legal action.
