About the Itoigawa Geopark Logo
Is it an alien? An abstract face? No! Our logo represents our Geopark and our Mission:
Zig-zag Line: The Itoigawa-Shizuoka Tectonic Line, which runs through the center of our Geopark.
Small Triangle & Circle: The new and old geology found on either side of the ISTL.
Large Circle: A united region and holistic approach to conservation and community development.
Arrows: Sharing our heritage and activities with the world.
We are proud of our logo and what it represents, so you can find it all over the Geopark. Not only on Geopark signs, but also used by our many partners. Bus stops, safety rails, license plates and even official government documents! While you are in Itoigawa, try to spot all the different places where our logo is displayed.
